Mohamad Rachid is a PhD candidate at INSA-Rennes under the supervision of Dr. Christophe Lescop and the co-supervision of Dr. Guillaume Calvez. His doctoral research focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of new polymetallic Cu(I)-based molecular assemblies exhibiting\u00a0photoactive and thermally responsive luminescence<\/strong>\u00a0in the solid state. His work exploits the\u00a0coordination chemistry of Cu(I) centers with chelating phosphine ligands<\/strong>, which serve as versatile molecular scaffolds for directing the self-assembly of\u00a0coordination polymers, extended supramolecular networks, and discrete metallacycles<\/strong>. These assemblies are engineered to display\u00a0tunable luminescent properties<\/strong>\u00a0while enabling reversible chemical, thermal, and light energy storage through controlled coordination equilibria and photoinduced transformations. The resulting systems are investigated using\u00a0single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, temperature-dependent photophysical measurements, and thermal analysis techniques (TGA, DSC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

He holds a Master\u2019s degree from the LUMOMAT program at the University of Angers, carried out at moltech-Anjou laboratory as a double diploma with the Lebanese University and funded by Erasmus+. During the internship, research focused on the\u00a0synthesis of chiral \u03c0-conjugated cations<\/strong>\u00a0via asymmetric synthesis methodologies, their\u00a0incorporation into halide perovskite frameworks<\/strong>\u00a0to induce chirality, and the\u00a0evaluation of their chiroptical and luminescent properties by circular dichroism (CD) and circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) spectroscopy<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

He previously completed an M1 in Physical Chemistry and Chemistry of Materials (Lebanese University, Section 1, Hadath) and a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Chemistry (Lebanese University, Section 4, Zahle).<\/p>\r\n

Mohamad was born in 2002 in\u00a0Taraya, Baalbeck<\/strong><\/em>,<\/span> in eastern\u00a0Lebanon<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
